Why Natural Lashes are a Must-have for Your Lash Business?

We’ve got to admit – not every lash lover is after a bold look – some prefer a softer, more natural look that still delivers effortless glam. This is where fluffy, featherlight and natural lashes come in. Ultra-lightweight and soft, these lashes offer the perfect blend of volume and subtlety, making them a go-to choice for clients who want to enhance their eyes without going too much over the top.

As the demand for natural-looking beauty continues to grow, having natural looking lash materials in your product inventory isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s a smart move. In this post, we’ll delve into different fluffy and natural lashes that we have, what sets them apart, their benefits as well as why they’re an essential for any modern lash brand.

But what exactly is a fluffy, featherlight and natural lashes look?

A fluffy, featherlight and natural lashes look, in contrast to a bold and dramatic lashes look, is all about creating a soft, wispy and lightweight look that enhances the eyes without being overly heavy or dramatic. This style is perfect for those who want a natural, long lashes effect that mimics natural lashes but still have that touch of volume and definition.

Who can use fluffy, featherlight and natural lashes?

Anyone can use fluffy, featherlight and natural lash extensions, especially those who want a subtle and everyday enhancement. Some other examples can be:

  • Clients with a lot of natural lashes who just want to add a little more length and definition.
  • People who prefer low-maintenance, natural looking false eyelashes that still offer a noticeable difference.

So what types of lash materials can help create this natural lashes look?

To be honest, finding the right lash materials that are on trend but also stand the test of time for your collection is no easy feat. For any wholesale lash suppliers out there who have just started looking in the market, it might be a little bit tricky when it comes to different varieties and types of materials that exist. But let’s breathe for a moment and allow us to break it down for you!

So basically, there are three main types of lash materials currently available on the market – glossy, semi-matte and full matte. The reason why there are so many different names for lash materials on the market is because there hasn’t been any standardized way of calling them yet, so each manufacturer comes up with their own ways of calling the materials. For instance, cashmere mink lash extensions made from one manufacturer are not the same cashmere mink produced by another. So we’d suggest the best you can do is to contact your potential manufacturers directly and ask for the desired lash effect that you’re after.

At CharmLash, we also have our own system of calling our lash materials. How we name them depends on how long or short we taper our lash fibers and the effects that come with it. If it’s a short taper, we’ll have a bold, voluminous and dramatic lashes look. And if it’s a long taper, we’ll have a fluffy and natural lashes look.  For this article, we’ll be focusing on the long tapered types, namely: Super Faux Mink, Velvet Mink, Cashmere Silk and Premium Matte as well as the natural effects that they bring.

Super Faux Mink

This kind of lash material was introduced in August 2023. Made of German PBT and meticulously manufactured in Japan without using any real mink fur and human hair, Super Faux Mink has a true black color and appears to be matte compared to its Faux Mink pal. Being a long tapered material itself, Super Faux Mink looks seamlessly natural, soft, fluffy and weightless.

As Super Faux Mink is available in all lengths, curls, thicknesses and colors to choose from, this material is widely trusted by popular lash artists.

Velvet Mink

CharmLash’s Velvet Mink is semi-matte, which is a must-have for your natural lashes collection.

Another type of ultra-lightweight, voluminous and natural lashes set we’d love to introduce is Velvet Mink. Made of high-end PBT fibers imported from Germany, Velvet Mink is natural black, incredibly soft and delicate with a semi-matte finish. The reason why this matte velvet lashes material is incredibly lightweight and delicate is that we’ve implemented an innovative hollow technology to construct three holds inside the lash body so it’s 30-40% lighter than the other lash materials. What’s better than owning a natural lashes set that is velvety matte black but also feathery and soft?

Velvet Mink is available in all curls, lengths and its thicknesses are available in 0.05 & 0.07.

Cashmere Silk (new release!)

Having been introduced in October 2024, what makes Cashmere Silk special is its own texture that resembles the structure of human hair cuticles. This lash material also comes with a matte black finish so it’s no doubt Cashmere Silk gives off a natural, matte lashes look.

Cashmere Silk is designed in ways that lash techs can easily apply various fanning techniques such as rainbow, lonely fan and wiggle. The material is available in 0.07 & 0.1.

Premium Matte

Premium Matte, as it’s being called, is the lash material with the ultimate matte finish. (If you recall, on the other side of the spectrum we have Premium Faux Mink, which gives off the deepest black value). And since this is a long tapered material, this synthetic material is soft, refined and comes with an ultra-matte black value that looks natural and effortlessly voluminous!

That being said, lash artists can go for multiple mega volume/Russian lash fanning techniques and still retain that weightless and featherlight feel a matte material can offer with Premium Matte.

Premium Matte is available in all curls, lengths, thicknesses and colors. Available thicknesses include: 0.02, 0.03, 0.05, 0.07, and 0.1.

So – to recap, we currently have four types of lash extensions that give off fluffy, ultra-lightweight and natural lashes looks and feels. Here, we break down the details of each type:
